Billing Policy

Billing Policy

Z2 billing policy is:
  • Track Days
    • Credit card payment: we do not immediately bill your credit card when you make a reservation. Instead we take your card details and bill approximately 15 days before the track day. Click here for information on some recent strange bank behaviour. For example, if you reserved places at track days on (for example) February 1st and October 1st, you would have your credit card billed on January 15th (for February) and September 15st (for October).

If you are making a reservation within 15 days of a track day we bill your card immediately.

Credit card transactions appear on your statement as "Zoom Zoom" If you have an issue with a charge on your card please contact us as your first step so we can resolve the issue quickly and easily.

    • Personal Checks: We are now also accepting personal checks. If you select this option please ensure that you actually mail the check to us at
      Zoom Zoom Events Corp
      4790 Caughlin Pkwy. #280
      Reno, NV 89519
Please write your order number and the date of your event in the "Memo" section of your check.
We will bank your check approximately 15 days before the track day. If you are making a reservation within 15 days of a track day, we will bank your check immediately upon receipt. Note that your check must arrive at our office by 15 days before the track day. Therefore, it is not advisable to pay by check if you are making the reservation within a week of the track day. If your check is late, you risk losing your reservation!

    • On the day: We DO NOT accept payment of any kind on the day. You must be fully paid up before you go to the track.

  • Season Passes: We will bill you immediately when you buy a season pass.
  • Ticket Packs: We will bill you immediately when you buy a ticket pack.
  • Gift Certificates: We will bill you immediately when you buy a gift certificate.
How our Credit Card billing works

When you make a reservation we run an "authorization" against your card. This allows us to determine that (1) all the information is correct (card number, name, billing address, etc) and (2) generally speaking, you have funds in the account to cover a charge like this.

If the event is MORE than 60 days away, we then void the authorization. Within 60 days, we keep the authorization and then "capture" the transaction at the 15 day mark.

How your bank or credit card provider handles this varies from provider to provider.

In theory, when we run an authorization they're just supposed to say "yes, you COULD make this charge" and they give us a transaction ID that we can later use to actually finalize the transaction.

In reality, any of the following can occur:
  • The provider does exactly what they're supposed to do and you don't see anything until we capture the transaction at about the 15 day mark
  • The provider puts a "hold" against the amount of the authorization but doesn't actually remove the funds or the credit
  • If you pay with a Debit Card/Check Card (specifically, Bank of America), they actually withdraw the funds from your account. We don't get the funds, and you don't get the funds. BofA just hangs onto your cash, but normally refunds it at about midnight after the authorization is voided.

No matter what, if you see some unexpected activity in your account after making a reservation with us, and the problem is not resolved automatically the next day, please contact us via email or phone us at (888) 929 9666 and we'll resolve the issue.
